Best way to get in shape for military?
im 19 yrs old im a husky guy and i was wondering what are a few good ways to get in shape for the military i wanna go in to be a medic, i’d prefer advice for currently enlisted or prior enlisted ppl thanx.
run a 1 and half mile every other day.
start soft, and get faster and run longer.
every hour drop and do 25 push ups, everyother day max out your push ups, same for situps.
How to get back in shape effectively?

So I’m a 15 year old girl, for the record; I am 5′5 and currently weigh 129 pounds. I recently came back from a shoulder injury after being out for 3 and a half months. I have lost a lot of muscle and gained the weight back-but it’s in fat now. I used to weigh 125 pounds.
I am extremely out of condition and it is impossible for me to keep up with my teammates. I think my coaches are considering bumping me down to JV, and I can’t let that happen. I have a big meet to prepare for in two months-how can I get into the best shape possible?
By the way, I’m not saying I want to lose weight-just get in shape-as in more muscle, less fat, and in good condition. Thanks guys.
Firstly, you are probably not as much "fat" as you say you are. I’m a 15 year old swimmer as well. I’m 5′ 8" and I am 135lbs. I have actually gained weight, butt lost inches(around my thighs and waist) swimming. If you are on varsity, even with being out due to an injury, you are probably still all muscle. I would recommend distance and drill sets. If your sure that your shoulder is 100% ok i would also do sprinting sets. And some dry land(running, cycling, ab workout etc…) The more work you do the better. Work hard in practice and try your best to beat your times. And be glad you dont have an insane coach…. my team had to swim 2 miles of butterfly in an hour. That wasn’t fun. Then he had us sprint 10x 100s… 5 times. So, just work hard and hope your coach doesn’t go crazy(like mine). Good Luck at your meet!!! (:
i quit cross country 3 years ago but i really want to run again how do i get back in shape?
3 years ago i was a very very good runner at my middle school, i quit at the beginning of high school, and now i am a junior. I really want to go back to running, but i am so out of shape, i need to be in decent shape by the end of november how can i get back to where i was?
Run. Run. Run. Lift weights(squats, lunges, leg presses, anything for your legs).
Vary your running. Some days, do sprints, other days, run long 45 minute jogs. Once a week, do a mile as fast as you can and aim for a goal time such as under 7 minutes(or whatever will push you to your limit, yet still reachable). Then repeat that 2 more times during the session.
Each day, no matter easy or hard, you should be sweating a lot. If not, maybe you took it too easy.
Some days you may feel like crap, but run anyway. It’ll build mental toughness. By the way, changes may not be that fast. You will however, be in better shape than you are now.
How do I get my sexdrive back after having a baby?
I have and 18 mo old son and I had no problem getting my sexdrive back after having him. My husband on the other hand didn’t want sex at least not with me. He lost interest while I was pregnant, and would have sex with me once in awhile after I practically begged him and got him worked up. I have been easily arroused from the beginning of our relationship. I didn’t need foreplay to get worked up. Basically if he wanted it I was ready. I am now 4 weeks post-partum from having twins, and I have no interest in sex at all. I was so uncomfortable during pregnancy that I would just masterbate if I was horny because sex was uncomfortable, painful, and exhausting. So, there was no begging for it this time. So I thought that things would level out. But now it seems I still would rather be by myself. I don’t want to have sex with him. I want the touching and cuddling, but that is non-existant in our relationship. He kisses me goodbye in the morning. But the only other kind of touch I get is like a slap on the ass or grip on the ass or breasts, because he is extremely horny. He tells me I have a great ass, but then talks about me getting in better shape. I am working on getting in shape, but I just don’t have the motivation to. I already don’t want the attention he is giving me and if I get in better shape it will just be worse. I just don’t know what I want or need.
Your husband kind of sounds like a jerk. I would not want to have sex with him either.
How is the rest of your relationship? It sounds strained — perhaps in part because of the stress of the kids, but even more so because of the fact that he isn’t listening at all to your needs.
If he were my husband, I would sit him down and explain exactly what you just explained here — that I am feeling confused by the fact that I am no longer interested in sex and that I am trying to figure out what is going on. If you think that that might open up a good, healthy conversation between the two of you, then I think that is a good place to start. If you think he’d just get upset or angry, then…..well I don’t know what I would do. He SHOULD understand, though. I mean, if he lost interest in you when you were pregnant, he should understand what it’s like to not want to have sex with your partner. Honestly (and I’m not proud of this because I try not to be a revengeful person), I’d want to get back at him for all the rude things he is telling you — make him feel a little unloved in return for being unloving to you. You’ve only just given birth to twins 4 weeks ago and he’s already telling you to get in better shape? It just really makes me upset that you’re going through that.
How do I know how much Preotein to Consume in order to gain the large amount of muscle growth I’m looking for?

Too much protein = fat, if you dont work out to turn the fat into muscle, just take what you think your body can handle.
Best way to get into shape?
What is the fastest way to get in shape for someone who is lazy .. How can I even get motivated enough to wanna run? Thanks
Eating right gives you the energy you need to exercise so throw out all of that junk food! As far as motivation, set yourself some goals. Ex. If you run for a whole month go to a movie (but skip out on all of those fattening and expensive movie food). If this doesnt seem to motivate you, get together with a friend and make a schedule. You can go to the gym or even just walk around your neighborhood together in the morning or whatever time works best. This way you wont bail out because you have a friend doing it with you.
getting in shape?!?!?
im a volleyball player and i just feel like i get too tired too easily and that im not really athletic. how can i get into better shape? i want to be able to run better and exercise easier. please help me!!
have a nutritious diet.. drink water often and eat five small nutritious meals a day instead of three large ones. Also you should probably run everyday. hope this helps
Whats a good work out plan for a 14 year old i would like to get back in shape?
I would like to get back into shape i mean really get back into shape i need to lose alot of plans i need to lose like 100 lbs and i just need a complete Diet, WorkOut, and Exercise plan i will give as many points as i can give for the best answer i dont eat fruits or vegetables that could be a problem…..
ok depends my workout plan is for my own use because i’m a 14 year old guy so i don’t really know, it depends if you are a guy or girl too, but one tip start eating fruits and vegetables because it’s healthy and either way doesn’t your mom or dad cook steamed vegetables or puts them in the foods they make

The last guy got the running part right, but for pole vault I would recommend
Upper body strengthening workouts (Pull Ups Etc) for managing pole bending and the use of bigger and heavier poles and
Core workouts so you can stay in perfect form
(Mainly crunches, planks and general workouts)
Pole vault is easy once you get the form and the runs down (Just stay consistent in your strides)

What are the best ways to get in shape for Marine boots camp?
Im getting ready for boot camp I sign my contract next week and they told me id be sent out to boot camp around january anyone have any tips in getting in shape for boot camp? I have no gym memberships and no work out machines so im looking for home work out routines.

Don’t waste your time in a gym for Marine Corps bootcamp -wrong muscle groups!
Get outside and run, do crunches, pushups, and pullups.
Depending on your physical ability and if you don’t run now:
Start off with 2 mile run. Get your time to 15 minutes. Go to 2 1/2 miles, get your time to 20 minutes. When you are consistent running 2 1/2 miles at 20 minutes, go to 3 miles and get your time to 24 minutes. After you get this time, go to 3 1/2 miles and work on getting 24 minutes. If you do this, you will likely run the 3 miles in 19 minutes – a good run time for a recruit.
Crunches – get where you can do 80 in 2 minutes.
Pullups – get to where you can do at least 10 pullups from a dead hang position.
Pushups – not a PFT item but you will be doing plenty of them in bootcamp. These and pullups exercise your upper body strength that you will need on the O course. Lifting weights is very little help since the muscle group that weight lifting focuses on actually tends to tighten you up when doing pullups. If you do weights, but sure to do pullups and pushups along with it.
The above will make bootcamp a piece of cake physically. Mentally – there is no prep. Just have a positive attitude and know that bootcamp lasts 12 weeks.
